Plan Early

It may seem like the most obvious piece of advice but plan ahead, plan early.

There is nothing worse than thinking you have months to make arrangements and then leaving until the last minute. This may sometimes work in a couples favour if they manage to bag a last minute deal with a supplier. It’s worth noting that this, in my experience, rarely happens and the couple are left without key elements of their WeddinG and or forced to book something / someone they really did not want to.

Keep Track

In whichever way you wish to do this, spreadsheets, stickynotes and highlighters, diaries... please keep on top of your plans and keep a folder of all of your booking notes, contracts.

Keep a sleerste email folder for your wedding correspondence.

the most organised brides are often the happiest because they know they have all in order.

Hire a Wedding Planner

Whilst I’m not suggesting you can’t plan your Wedding alone, I’m saying most couples I have spoken to that have wished they’d had a little helping hand at least somewhere along the way.

Whether that’s choosing suppliers, on-the-day-coordination or a little looking over their planning before the big day itself.

A Wedding Planning Ban

You need some days off from Planning. Whilst we all understand you are excited, nervous, emotional, you need to take time off and talk about something other than the wedding.

Your partner will thank us. You need to have time to just be you guys - with no wedding talk.

This really is an important part. Take a mini-break, spa day, day-out (see our blog post for ideas). And really getti relax and let you mind be free of wedding thoughts.

Enjoy x
